YWAM Lusaka is built on shared life — prayer, worship, study, work and fellowship. Students and staff live, serve and grow together in a multicultural community that sharpens character and deepens faith. This is family with purpose.
The base sits on about seven acres just outside Lusaka city — land God supernaturally provided in 2001. It is a home as much as a training centre: a quiet, natural setting where people from many nations live and learn side by side.
A shared rhythm of life
Days at the base follow a steady rhythm of devotion, learning, ministry and rest — the same pattern that shapes every DTS.
- 06:30 — Quiet time
- 07:30 — Breakfast together
- Mornings — worship, intercession, devotions and small groups, then lectures
- Afternoons — ministry and practical work around the base
- Fridays — ministry in the community · Saturdays — rest · Sundays — church
Family with purpose
Living in community is where character is formed. Meals, work, worship and outreach are shared, and the multicultural mix — Zambians, Africans and friends from further afield — stretches and strengthens everyone. You arrive as a student and leave as family, sent for the nations.
